Urgent Announcement

Church Parking is available at 1815 Gates St. (between Onderdonk Ave & Seneca Ave)

The Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Southern United States is in need of your help. For this reason this message is being sent to all the priests in North America in hopes that the Coptic Churches may unite together to help out our Coptic School, St. Clement Coptic Orthodox Academy in Nashville, TN.

Kohl's department store is hosting a contest on Face book. They are giving away $500,000 to each of the 20 schools that receive the most votes in their contest. We need everybody we know to go online and vote for St. Clement Coptic Orthodox Academy in Nashville, TN. Each person is allowed 20 votes (up to 5 for a single school) and we need 5 of those 20 votes to go to St, Clement Coptic Orthodox Academy, Nashville, TN. The voting will end on September 3, 2010.

St. Clement Coptic Orthodox Academy in Nashville, TN is borderline in receiving this fund. The Southern Diocese does not encourage Face book accounts but for the sake of helping the school, we are asking people to create an account in order to vote and then to delete this account. Since this is the last Sunday before the deadline, we are also asking the churches to please have computers setup after Sunday services for people to go online and vote.

Please forward this message to as many people as you can to help us spread the word.

We would also like to help another Coptic School in VA called Good Shepherd Christian Academy. Since every one will have up to 20 votes, so 5 votes can be towards St. Clement while another 5 votes can be towards Good Shepherd Christian Academy.

Here are the steps for voting:
1. Go to
http://apps.facebook.com/KohlsCares/
2. Click on "Vote Now"

a. If prompted to "LIKE" the organization click on the option to "LIKE"
b. If prompted to "ALLOW" access to your information click the option to "ALLOW"

3. Click on SEARCH SCHOOLS and type in St. Clement Coptic Orthodox Academy

a. Make sure to choose the St. Clement Coptic Orthodox Academy, Nashville TN

4. Once chosen, then click on "Cast A Vote"
5. When done, remember to go back and cast your 4 remaining votes as well

Repeat these same steps for Good Shepherd Christian Academy in VA.

Please keep St. Clement Academy in your prayers.

  • Fireproof the movie

St. Mary & St. Antonios Church Family Ministry in Queens showed the movie Fireproof, starring Kirk Cameron.  This movie addresses the challenges that couples will face in marriage, coming to the brink of devastation & how they came through their conflict.  The movie is quite practical and EXTREMELY well written.

The full length version playlist can be accessed on youtube at:

In addition to the articles linked above, there are more resources on the website http://www.fireproofyourmarriage.com/.  Use them as a resource supplement to the movie.  It will be a great movie that will help reshape your view of marriage and be a source of encouragement for you in the midst of fire.

Enjoy and may God bless you.
