The Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Southern United States is in need of your help. For this reason this message is being sent to all the priests in North America in hopes that the Coptic Churches may unite together to help out our Coptic School, St. Clement Coptic Orthodox Academy in Nashville, TN.

Kohl's department store is hosting a contest on Face book. They are giving away $500,000 to each of the 20 schools that receive the most votes in their contest. We need everybody we know to go online and vote for St. Clement Coptic Orthodox Academy in Nashville, TN. Each person is allowed 20 votes (up to 5 for a single school) and we need 5 of those 20 votes to go to St, Clement Coptic Orthodox Academy, Nashville, TN. The voting will end on September 3, 2010.

St. Clement Coptic Orthodox Academy in Nashville, TN is borderline in receiving this fund. The Southern Diocese does not encourage Face book accounts but for the sake of helping the school, we are asking people to create an account in order to vote and then to delete this account. Since this is the last Sunday before the deadline, we are also asking the churches to please have computers setup after Sunday services for people to go online and vote.

Please forward this message to as many people as you can to help us spread the word.

We would also like to help another Coptic School in VA called Good Shepherd Christian Academy. Since every one will have up to 20 votes, so 5 votes can be towards St. Clement while another 5 votes can be towards Good Shepherd Christian Academy.

Here are the steps for voting:
1. Go to
http://apps.facebook.com/KohlsCares/
2. Click on "Vote Now"

a. If prompted to "LIKE" the organization click on the option to "LIKE"

4. Once chosen, then click on "Cast A Vote"

Who We Are

Mission Statement
To promote a biblical faith, based on the early teachings of the Church, which shapes both the Coptic Orthodox Church and the society in which we live for the sake of Christ.

Our Church
Welcome to St. Mary & St. Anthony Coptic Orthodox Church of Queens, NY serving under the guidance & care of His Holiness Pope Shenouda III, the 117th Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark.

St. Mary & St. Anthony Church has been in Queens since 1973, and exists to promote a biblical faith, based on the early teachings of the Church, which shapes both the Coptic Orthodox Church and the society in which we live for the sake of Christ. We invite you to join us in working for a Church based on the Truth and in finding a community in which you may become united with other Christians through personal spiritual growth, as well as by “carrying each other’s burdens, which is the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2).

Whether you're a member, looking for a church home in the Queens neighborhood, or just surfing, we welcome you and hope you’ll take the time to learn more about us, invite you to explore this site and hope you’ll come join us.

Our Creed (Nicene Creed)
Truly we believe in One God, God the Father, the Pantocrator, Who Created Heaven and earth, and of all things seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the Only-Begotten Son of God, Begotten of the Father before all ages.

Light of Light; True God of True God; begotten, not created; of One Essence with the Father, by Whom all things were made. Who for us men and for our salvation came down from Heaven, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and of the Virgin Mary, and became man. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate. Suffered and was buried.

He rose from the dead on the third day, according to the Scriptures. Ascended to the heavens, He sits at the right hand of His Father and He is coming again in His glory to judge the living and the dead; Whose Kingdom shall have no end.

Yes we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord the Life-Giver, Who proceeds from the Father; Who with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, Who spoke by the prophets. And in one Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. We confess one baptism for the remission of sins.

We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen
