Reposed Hegomen Youhanna Tadros Girgis

Abouna Youhanna Guirgis was the rock of our church in Ridgewood Queens for over 40 years. He is credited as shepherding a folk alongside his wife, Tasoni Samia since they were chosen to lead our church in 1981. He departed to the Lord on May 22, 2018. Abouna Youhanna is remembered and missed by thousands of his children, not only in NY but around the world. He was a symbol of Christ’s peace in turbulent times. He continually showed us the power of prayer and reminded us to not live for the pleasures of this world but to look forward to everlasting life with our Father. His zeal for Christ was contagious and he lives in our hearts forever.
