Hello,
The Greater Ridgewood Youth Council is presently accepting applications for its Young Adult Internship Program (YAIP). As you may know, YAIP is part of Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s city-wide initiative to provide business leaders with interns.
There are two primary purposes for this program: 1) to provide young people 17-24 years old with a three-month meaningful paid-internship opportunity as part of furthering their job search and reconnecting with school and 2) to provide business leaders with part-time help at no cost to them.
Since 2011 our program has already linked more than 100 young people with a variety of internships related to animal care, auto-mechanics, heating and plumbing, customer service, retail, food preparation, human services, etc.,
This service is free and at no-cost to the participant. To qualify, the young person must not be attending school (for at least six months) or working. Please contact us for more information. Thank you in advance for your time and many blessings to you!
Sincerely,
Robert Molina, MSW
Program Director
