Our beloved Father Hegomen Youhanna Guirgis departed to the Lord earlier today.
The funeral arrangements and services are as follows:
- Condolences will be accepted in Woodward Church Wednesday from 6:00 – 9:00 PM
- Condolences in the woodward Church upstairs Thursday starting at 5 PM.
- Asheya and Tasbeha on Thursday evening.
- Liturgy Friday morning 9 to 11 A.M.
- Funeral at 11 A.M.
- Burial at 1 p.m.
- Agape reception after the burial in the church hall.
- Third Day prayer after agape reception
- All services at the SMSA1 Church.

We ask that you keep Father Hanna’s family and entire congregation in your prayers, as we mourn our beloved father.

When the words fall so short, spirit and heart speak mighty things. For in the land of our sojourning you were the first father and spiritual teacher to generations. You were the father to many. Like Abraham, the father of many nations, you have descipled generations and lived as an icon of righteousness and prayerful life in a fallen world.
Please remembers us all before the mercy seat of God; and pray for your family, children and disciples everywhere.
On the hope of resurrection we take comfort in you living in Christ and through all those in whose life you were a beacon of light in the modest of darkness. Rejoice in paradise as you have put forth the good fight, completed your labor, have kept the faith, and at last you have gained the crown of righteousness.

You taught us how to pray and respect the church. You married us baptized and married our children. You were the first one to be comforting us when my beloved son Timothy passed away 10 years ago.
